Archbishop to meet with northern Westchester churches

Archbishop Dolan in Peekskill on SundayNew York Archbishop Timothy Dolan will meet with church representatives from northern Westchester and Putnam counties on Thursday in Yorktown.

At the meeting will be priests and lay representatives who make up the 24 parishes of the Northern Westchester/Putnam Vicariate.

Dolan is visiting each of the 19 vicariates in the New York Archdiocese during his first year.

The 7 p.m. meeting at St. Patrick’s Church in Yorktown will include prayers and a reception.

Dolan is making his presence felt in northern Westchester this week. On Sunday he spent the afternoon with parishioners at the Assumption Church in Peekskill, which celebrated its 150th anniversary in August.
