Information on cell phone service for low-income customers in Peekskill today
Representatives from Assurance Wireless, a cell phone service from Virgin Mobile USA, part of Sprint Nextel’s Prepaid Group will be in Peekskill today to launch program for eligible, low-income families.
Assurance Wireless offers eligible customers a free cell phone and 200 free minutes of airtime for local and long distance calls every month. Additional time can be purchased after the 200 minutes have been used up for .10 cents per minute.
Representatives will be at the Peekskill Senior Citizen Center, 4 Nelson Ave., until 12:45 p.m. today and also from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Kiley Youth Center, 709 Main St. There will be a presentation at 1 p.m.
