Children’s consignment sales slated for Yorktown

Posted by: Brian Howard - Posted in Uncategorized on Apr 13, 2010

Cortlandt Manor mother of 3, Claire Uotila, is introducing Claire’s Consignments LLC, a seasonal children’s consignment sale event that will take place twice a year.

The first sale will take place at the Yorktown Vineyard Community Church, 2084 Crompond Road in Yorktown Heights April 29 to May 1. This type of sale is designed to give families of northern Westchester a forum for selling their children’s gently used clothing, furniture, equipment, toys, sports and dance apparel as well as maternity clothing and other items. Consignors register on Claire’s Web site, prepare their items and make an appointment to drop them off prior to the sale. Claire and her team do the rest. This sale is a great way for families to make room in their closets, not load up the landfills, and earn some money along the way.

In today’s shaky economy families are looking for ways to save. Claire’s Consignments Seasonal Children’s sale event allows local families the opportunity to buy quality children’s products at a fraction of the retail cost as well as earn some extra cash. Consignors also can choose to pick up unsold items or have them donated to charity on their behalf.

April 29 is a special pre-sale day that is only open to consignors, volunteers, expectant and new moms from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.  On April 30, the sale is open to the public from 10 a. m. to 7 p.m. also, May 1 is half-off day. Anything marked with a red star will be sold at 50 percent off from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale is quality controlled, meaning all items are checked to ensure merchandise is in excellent condition. Additional information and registration can be found at clairesconsignments.com or email info@clairesconsignments.com.
