June 6 is the date when the Danish Home in Croton commemorates a Danish national holiday.
The Grundlovsdag festival marks the passage of the Danish constitution. Authentic Danish food will be served,
such as open-faced sandwiches, frikadeller (Danish meatballs). Danish pastries and products will be on sale at the Danish Home, and there will a wide variety of entertainment. The event is free and open to the public.
A story-teller will give readings of Hans Christian Andersen, and guitarist David Starobin will play classical music. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the seniors’ residential facility at 1065 Quaker Bridge Road.
