If you missed it, check out today’s story on the Ossining village and town board races.
Three Republicans are looking to undo the Democratic monopoly on the Ossining village board. Newcomers Fred Steneck and Stephen Dewey, along with Mike Aurora have put their bid in for mayor and two trustee seats and also carry the Conservative and Independence lines.
The candidates face incumbent Mayor William Hanauer and incumbent trustees Marlene Cheatham and Janis Castaldi. The incumbent Democrats also have the Working Families line.
The GOP candidates have teamed with Michael Costello who is running against incumbent Democrat Northern Wilcher, Jr., for a seat on the Ossining Town Board. There is now one Republican on the Town Board.
