Yorktown’s Leo and Elks clubs have joined forces to help raise funds for children with disabilities.
Together, they’ve planned a pancake breakfast open to everyone in order to raise money for charities benefiting children with disabilities. The breakfast will be held on Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Yorktown Elks Lodge, 590 Waverly Rd.
Children 3 and under eat free, ages 4-12 are $5, and 12 and up are $8. Tickets may be purchased in advance from the Yorktown Leos or at the door.
All proceeds will go to charities for children with disabilities, including the Special Olympics, which works to provide an opportunity for those with disabilities to participate in sports and their community. Also, they work to change the attitudes of people towards those with disabilities for the better.
