Nisha Mirchandani of Yorktown wrote in she and her family made a giant snowman. Here’s what she had to say:
Hi. My name is Nisha. I am 11 years old and live in Yorktown Heights in Westchester. Me, my little brother Arjay, my mom, my Uncle Mike, and my cousins, Kara, Arika, and Olivia, all built this HUGE snowman! I like to call him Prince Xavier the 3rd! The snowman is measured from head to bottom to a whopping 8’6”! We had to get up on a ladder to get all the stuff on and get the head on!
Nisha’s mom, Jann Mirchandani added it took about an hour to build and that they used a piece of plywood to roll the mid-section on top of the bottom piece.

This is a great family activity. Good team effort. I built an igloo last year in our front yard that my daughter and I slept in the following night. Eskimold.com sells perfect molds that anyone can use to make a picture perfect igloo. A whole “igloo village” is being built at this year’s Knickerbocker Ice Festival at Rockland Lake at the end of January.
