Westchester County Legislator William Burton, D-Ossining, will hold an employment workshop tonight in Ossining, bringing together experts from Westchester Community College and the state Department of Labor.
Their expertise is meant to help “participants understand how to navigate the current job market, how to position themselves in a changing employment climate, personal branding, resume writing, interviewing techniques and leveraging individual strengths.”
“My number one priority is to ensure that residents seeking employment get back to work,” Burton said. “This event will help provide participants with the tools needed to look for, apply to, and compete for jobs in the global economy. While we reach out to the business community and look for the best ways to support small businesses, I believe that we must also be proactive in the fight to reduce unemployment.”
The workshop is free and open to the public and will go from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Ossining Public Library, 53 Croton Ave.
