Voters in the Yorktown Central School District passed the $91.1 million budget there handile by a tally of 1,037 to 562.
In the uncontested race for two school board seats, incumbents Michael Magnani and Anthony D’Alessandro received 1,170 votes and 1,168 votes, respectively.
A proposition on whether to allow the district to spend $1.2 million approved under a previous bond measure to build an artificial turf field at Yorktown High School was approved more narrowly, 844 to 700. The earlier approval had been for improvements at French Hill School, which has since closed.
The budget increases the tax levy by 1.99 percent and reduces staffing districtwide by between 23 and 26 positions.
