PEEKSKILL – A new tenant could be moving into the Peekskill train station, and city leaders are hoping any new business there gives a boost to the waterfront.
Following the closure of the former Kelly’s restaurant, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, which owns the building, is putting out a “request for proposals” inviting businesses to submit concepts for the site.
The 7,400-square-foot space could be used for a restaurant, retail, office or other commercial use. Kelly’s closed following a dispute with the MTA over the lease and a decision by the owner to relocate.
