The Hemlock Hill Farm has been given a new lease on life.
The payment of $2.73 million in government funds, which finally came through this month, will make sure cows, not housing, will dot the landscape there.
After lengthy bureaucratic delays, Hemlock Hill farm got the grant to purchase development rights associated with the property, under a grant program that originated with former Gov. George Pataki in 2006.
Hemlock Hill had been in danger of bankruptcy and foreclosure during the real estate boom. It lies on the border of Yorktown and Cortlandt.
