Please be advised that Bauman Bus Company is experiencing an internal work slow down this morning. It is possible that students will be waiting at their bus stops for quite awhile this morning. If your child has alternate means of transportation to school today, please consider that as an alternative. We will communicate again with you as additional information becomes available. We will provide an update later today. Thank you.

We thank you for your cooperation this morning when Baumann Bus Company experienced internal labor issues that led to a delayed bus schedule. We appreciate the efforts of parents, guardians, and staff who assisted so well this morning.
At this time, we have been advised by Baumann Bus Company that this afternoon’s transportation from school to home should be on schedule. In the event that we learn of any new challenges, we will be sure to notify you.

The kids were not simply delayed. They were left stranded on a very cold morning. John Day with the TWU 100 decided to do “inspections” on the buses as they were leaving to pick our kids up. There was no warning to anyone to allow the parents to take care of their children. This was a shamefull union action. I am a big supporter of unions and have even been to rallys to support the TWU. The unions and working people are increasingly under attack during these tough economic times and the last thing we need are people like John Day making us look so bad. This union action put our kids in danger and should not be without consequences. Unfortunately our local newspaper doesn’t seem to think this is important enough to our community to bring it to our attention. I contacted Kathy Moore of the Journal News twice yesterday in the midst of the kaos us parents, the kids and our school officials were experiencing with no response. Why should we pay .75 cents for a local paper if they are not going to print the local news? There are better and cheaper new sources out there.
