Hendrick Hudson School District voters rejected the “Implementing the Vision” bond referendum on the ballot yesterday, 1777 to 977.
The $25 million bond was for new science classrooms at Blue Mountain Middle School and Hendrick Hudson High School, two new synthetic turf fields and a Community Performing Arts Center.
“Our community has spoken,” Superintendent Daniel McCann said in a statement Wednesday night. “While the results are disappointing, it represents the voice of our community. Still though, our needs remain, and going forward we will reexamine those needs with the community.”
