Embodying a core value of community service and cooperation of the Garden Road School, elementary students will be taking a trip to the Seabury Assisted Living Facility at Fieldhome on Tuesday, December 20th, between 10 and 11:30 a.m., to bring holiday cheer. The students will present beautiful works of art that they have created to brighten the residents’ walls and will serenade them with Christmas songs in English and Spanish. The event is part of an on-going inter-generational exchange between the Garden Road School and the Seabury Home.
The Garden Road School offers a foundation of academic and creative learning with a tested philosophy, a historic six-acre campus and schoolhouse, a curriculum that meets NYS standards, nonprofit incorporation under the NYS Board of Regents, an Education Advisory Board and an administrative team. The Garden Road School’s curriculum is centered on the education of the whole child. Academics, values and the arts merge to meet the needs of each student’s individual learning style. All facets of the academic program are integrated with the arts: music, dance, theater, movement, singing and fine arts. The result is a holistic setting in which each child’s potential and genius is realized and nurtured.
