State Assemblywoman Sandy Galef spoke out against the redistricting plan, explaining how she voted and why in a statement distributed late Thursday. Gov. Andrew Cuomo has reportedly signed the bill today that moves Ossining to Rockland’s Senate District 38.
“I voted against the new state legislative redistricting plan created by the Task Force on Demographic Research and Reapportionment because it was a disservice to the voters in the Town and Village of Ossining and Village of Briarcliff Manor. The new 38th Senate District was clearly gerrymandered to encompass a small fraction of Westchester County with a district that has historically included only Rockland County.”

Yes redistricting Ossining to be included it as part of a Rockland county district makes a lot of sense, as the Rockland-Ossining bridge permits Ossinging voters to rub elbows with their Rockland neighbors. What slimy politicians like the son of mario would not do to maintain their dictatorial power over US.
