Two Con Edison workers came to the assistance of a man stricken by a seizure Friday morning. According to the utility, mechanics Mike Taylor and Nicholas Sharp, who work on transmission towers, were en route from a job in the Verplanck section of Cortlandt around 9:30 a.m. when they saw a lying man face-down, unresponsive. They came to his aid, and then flagged down an ambulance that was passing nearby. The man had apparently suffered an epileptic seizure and was taken for medical care and observation. Taylor, a Pearl River resident, said he was glad he could help. “We call get certified in CPR and first aid, and it’s always good to keep an eye out,” he said.
