Hudson River HealthCare (HRHCare) is a proud participant in the American Diabetes Association’s “Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes,” on Sunday, September 30th, 2012. This fundraising event will be held at Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry Campus, with registration at 8:30 am, and the one to three mile walk kick-off at 10:00 am. In addition to being able to enjoy beautiful Hudson River and New York City vistas while walking, the event will also feature a health fair, family entertainment and refreshments.
Everyone is invited to participate. Past participants know first-hand the hope this event gives to families and children affected by this devastating disease. If you have not yet participated, please consider taking the first steps toward a healthier life by joining the HRHCare team and taking your first steps, raising funds and walking in Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes. HRHCare staff and their patients from eight locations are walking to raise funds and awareness about the disease. In addition to the Dobbs Ferry location, HRHCare staff and patients will be walking in Amenia, Beacon, Goshen, Poughkeepsie, Jones Beach, Peekskill and Monticello. The public can join HRHCare by signing up for any of these locations, to make a donation or to walk.
