Two sets of parents are hosting a ”drug crisis in our backyard” forum from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25 at Somers Middle School, 250 Rt. 202.
The Salomone family of Mahopac and the Christiansen family of Somers both lost their sons this year to overdoses and are holding their second event on the epidemic of drug abuse and addiction gripping local communities and schools.
Speakers will include Dr. Adam Bisaga, a professor of clinical psychiatry at Columbia University, Ed Pollack of the Yonkers Police Department and a narcotics enforcement expert from Westchester County police.
