There’s an emergency blood drive scheduled at the Croton Library:
During Superstorm Sandy, many blood drives were canceled because schools and businesses which normally host blood drives were closed. The blood supply is still critically low because of 4,000 pints that were not collected. The Community Blood Drive has scheduled an emergency drive on Monday, January 28 at the Ottinger Room of the Croton Free Library, 171 Cleveland Drive from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m.. Won’t you consider spending an hour to give the most precious gift – the gift of life? People who are in good health between the ages of 16 and 76 may donate. Call Rosalind Morrissey, 271-8449, or Jo Ann Fannon, 271-5529, or email communityblooddrive@gmail.com to let us know that you plan to come or if you have questions. Appointments are not necessary.
