News from Ossining school district on an upcoming benefit:
Ossining High School’s Interact Club will host a Talent Show/Concert Friday, February 8th, to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.
The show, which is being sponsored by the high school’s Interact Club, will feature student dancers and musicians, with proceeds going to the Robin Hood Foundation’s Hurricane Sandy Relief efforts. This is the same foundation that sponsored the 12-12-12 concert to benefit Hurricane Sandy victims, according to Debra Jacoby, the club’s faculty advisor.
The show begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Ossining High School auditorium. Tickets are $5 per person in advance and $7 per person at the door. Interact is also seeking donations from local businesses to be offered during a silent auction to raise additional funds.
Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 14 to 18. Each year, Interact completes several community service projects such as visiting area nursing homes, collecting trash and raising funds for charitable organizations.
