News from the Ossining Union Free School District on new Twitter feeds for Ossining High School:
Do you want the latest scoop on happenings at Ossining High School? Are you interested in everything that goes on in the Ossining School District? Would you like to hear the high school principal’s perspective, or perhaps know what the district’s superintendent is thinking?
Ossining Union Free School District has a Twitter feed for all of those interests. The new Twitter feeds from the high school, high school principal and superintendent join the district’s main Twitter feed and augment an impressive line-up of social media offerings that includes Facebook, Pinterest, SmugMug, uStream and Vimeo.
“We have so much to be proud of and so much to share in Ossining, we want our community to have as many ways of obtaining information as possible,” said Interim Superintendent Raymond Sanchez. “That’s why we’ve added these new Twitter feeds that allow community members to pick and choose the type of news they are most interested in receiving.”
Residents can choose to follow any of the four Twitter feeds by signing up for Twitter, a free, social media service at www.twitter.com. Once you are signed up, you can type in the name of the feed you wish to follow in the search box at the top of the page. The four district feeds are:
• @OssiningSchools (for all news on the district)
• @OssiningSup (for news from Superintendent Ray Sanchez)
• @OHSPride (for OHS happenings)
• @PrincipalOHS (for news from OHS Principal Joshua Mandel)
Twitter, which boasts more than 500 million users worldwide, is a social networking service that allows users to send and received text messages of up to 140 characters each.
