Brian Pugh is announcing his candidacy for the Cortlandt Town Board. Here’s the letter he sent to the community:
I am writing to announce that I am seeking the Democratic nomination for one of the two open seats on the Cortlandt Town Board in this year’s primary on Tuesday, September 10.
As a native of this community, I have a deep appreciation for the unique quality of life we enjoy in Cortlandt. This community is part of who I am.
I have been blessed with the energy to be active in the life of our community. I helped lead the campaign to move Croton village elections to November to increase turnout and save taxpayer dollars. Most recently, I worked to elect my good friend Kevin Davis to the Croton board.
I believe that keeping the high quality of life that we enjoy here within the reach of middle class families rightfully is, and should be, our top priority.
We have a community with people from many backgrounds. The best way to preserve and improve our community is to take advantage of our residents’ diverse talents.
