The village is continuing its bicentennial celebration, “Ossining in 3D” with an outdoor sculpture exhibit that will be unveiled this weekend.
A special meet-the-artist reception kicks off this Sunday, May 5 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the village of Ossining Municipal Building, 16 Croton Ave., and includes hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.
There will also be tours of the 25 sculptures that are located among village’s historic buildings and downtown waterfront area. The sculptors, including three from Westchester, come from throughout the Northeast. Some of the themes present in the pieces include Ossining’s past and present.
Maps of the 1.5-mile sculpture walk are available at the Municipal Building, the Clerk’s and Village Manager’s offices, the Community Center, the Ossining Public Library, as well as at each sculpture location. Maps are also available online at www.villageofossining.org and www.celebrateossining.com
The exhibition will run through Oct. 26.
