As Phil said earlier, I will be live from North Rockland covering the Class C softball final between No. 3 Haldane and No. 1 Tuckahoe.
Here’s a friendly reminder on how to follow the game live:

Now here’s a look at how I think this final will go:
No. 3 Haldane at No. 1 Tuckahoe: Tuckahoe comes into today’s final with a 20-0 record. That’s a heck of an accomplishment. This team has a lot of fire power in that lineup headlined by Casey Stevko, Laura Fitzpatrick, Victoria Baez, and Christina Manca. But eighth-grader Cassie McGrath has impressed me. She’s running an 1.00 ERA allowing 53 walks and struck out 200. My question about this team is this, the Tigers have only been seriously tested twice; against Mount Vernon and Rye Neck. They come into the game undefeated, I know that if it was me, I would be nervous going into this game knowing that the team’s first loss could mean we’re out of the tournament. Anyway, the Tigers get the reigning Class C champs in Haldane who let us not forget that they are on year removed from being the state runner up. The Blue Devils bring back some strong veterans in the Lisikatos sisters (Marissa and Sam), plus Allie Monteleone who is as solid of a player as I’ve seen. Marley Chefaro has got another year under her belt in the circle. This game will be a real test for the Tigers. Both teams will be ready to play. Prediction: Haldane over Tuckahoe 7-4. Haldane has too much experience in the championship game. Next up: The winner of Chester and Tuxedo from Section 9 Monday at North Rockland in the opening round of regional play.
